What is important for today’s website?

Today’s websites are about function. Designers are finally walking away from Adobe Flash and abandoning ActionScript (in whatever reincarnation) and adopting website systems that render well on all platforms and with any device. The modern website is functionality with form.

Expect more HTML 5 and advanced CS3 methods for creating compelling website content and interactive design. But let us not fool ourselves by thinking that the slick designs of a decade ago are on the return, because they are not.

There really is an art to choosing the correct font. Typefaces set the tone and feel for the design. It can be a real challenge to locate the the right font, when there are thousands of well designed fonts to select from. However, with a little personality each font can stand out independently.
